Warm-up

 

  1. What is the semantic meaning of the word “WebQuest”? Think about Web + Quest?
  2. Enter “WebQuest” as the keyword in search engines (e.g. http://www.google.com.hk or http://www.yahoo.com.hk ). How many records are there in the result? Select pages from Hong Kong. How many records are there?
  3. Go to Wikipedia (http://www.wikipedia.org). Enter “WebQuest” as the keyword in the search field. What do they say about WebQuest?

 

Now, form groups of 2 or 3 classmates. Surf the Web sites below, choose one and try to do the learning activities suggested in the Web pages. Discuss in your group and present your answers for the questions on the next page.
